About
A children’s calligraphy (shodō) class in Kanazawa, held at Gallery Kinoko. Children from around age 5 through middle school work from the basics upward, each at their own pace, guided by instructor Kihou Kida. Adults are welcome too. Beyond practising neat characters, the class is a pause from a busy day: time to settle the mind, meet yourself through the brush, and find something new. Brushes, paper and ink are provided, so visiting families can simply come and try. Choose a day from the times below. ■ Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 10:00 – 11:00 AM ■ Monday and Sunday: 10:00 – 11:00 AM / 2:00 – 3:00 PM / 4:00 – 5:00 PM Each session is about one hour.

Clothes that can get a little ink on them
Brushes can be borrowed, and paper and ink are provided — you can come empty-handed.

親子で素敵な時間を過ごせました！
小学生の息子と母の親子で参加させていただきました。 学校では教えてもらえないようなところまですごく丁寧に教えていただき、短時間でも上達できたような感じでした。 母は久しぶりの書道でしたが、精神集中できる時間を過ごせて、すごくリフレッシュできました。 先生は、大らかな優しい雰囲気の先生で、また習いに行きたいと思いました。 親子で素敵な時間を過ごせました！ ありがとうございました。

1時間のレッスンをお願いしました。金沢駅から車で10分程のアクセスのいい場所でした。 先生は中国上海に語学と書道留学をされた経験があるベテランな先生です。明るく優しい先生のご指導で、子供が楽しくレッスンを受ける事ができました。楽しい！また行きたい！と言っていたので、また利用しようと思います。

先生が優しくて自信がつく！！
子どもは字が書くのが苦手なのですが、教室にたまたまうちの子だけで、他の人に見られてないという安心感の中、書くことができてとても満足そうでした。先生が褒め上手な上、優しく、子どもを相手に面白いやり取りもあったそうで、色んな話を聞くことができました！ 楽しかった！と自信満々に書いた字を見せてくれて大満足です。 なかなか自信満々な姿を見る事がなかったので先生がとても素敵なんだなと思いました。 是非またよろしくお願い致します。
