Drop-in Childcare

A small drop-in childcare room in a converted house, looking after children from two months old to preschool age. Book for any reason — work, an appointment, or simply a break; there is no employment requirement. Same-day booking is possible when there is space. There is no set nap time, so children can arrive at any hour and still have a good day; a child who falls asleep mid-play naps somewhere safe. Lunchtime is 11:30–12:30 and a packed lunch is optional. Older siblings of school age are welcome too, as long as they come with a preschool-age child. English and music run through the ordinary day here, as play rather than lessons. English comes through songs, rhythm games and moving about, led most days by a childcare provider who spent six years at a nationwide children's English school and has kindergarten experience; at the piano, children sing and move to the sound, with no right answer to reach for. Please note that care itself is in Japanese — this is English woven into play, not English-speaking staff.
