FAQ

Can I drop off earlier than 8:45?

Drop-off opens at 8:45. If you arrive a little early, please wait by the entrance until the doors open.

What language is the day in?

English. Staff speak to the children in English through the day and switch to Japanese only when a child really needs it.

Does my child need to be toilet-trained?

No — toilet training isn't required. Izumi supports each child at their own pace; just pack spare nappies, wipes and a change of clothes.

Where do you go in an emergency?

Children and staff move to a nearby safe site — Matsubara Park (closest park) Matsubara Elementary School (closest school facility) Umegaoka Junior High School & Hanegi Park (largest evacuation site).

When should our child stay home?

Please keep your child home (or collect them immediately) for: fever 37.5°C or higher, a cough that won't stop, diarrhea or vomiting, rash, head lice, or eye infection. When symptoms subside completely. After a fever, a child may return only once fever-free for 24 hours without medication.

Do you take photos of the children?

We take daily activity photos, shared only with enrolled Izumi families. To opt out, tell the school in writing at drop-off.
