About
A karate experience the child attends on their own (ages 10–18). This is a program where overseas tourist families join the regular practice attended by Japanese children and experience karate, a Japanese martial art. Participation takes the form of “guest participation” in the normal membership-based practice, so you can experience the dojo’s atmosphere and Japanese martial-arts culture as they truly are. The location is Bunkyō Ward, Tokyo — a local community. Members range from age 4 to 89, all practicing karate. Practice centers on etiquette (reihō), basic movements, and a simple kata, in a safety-conscious program; instructors give attentive support so beginners can join comfortably. Held Sundays 1:40 – 2:30 PM at a public martial-arts hall in Bunkyō Ward.
